Early-maturing girls tend to endure more ridicule than their less mature classmates. Early maturing girls are quite distinct from their age mates and often seek the company of older peers. Also research shows that early matures appear to be more vulnerable to peer influences than non-early matures, so they may not be able to resist peer pressure as effectively.
