You add all of the numbers up then divide them by the number of values you added

to figure out the average u have to add all the numbers used and then divide the sum by the amount of numbers u added.
for example: trying to find the average of 2 6 8 10 4 3 2
2+6+8+10+4+3+2=35
there are 7 numbers
35 divided by 7=5
