Find the value of r that will make the equation sin 31=cos r

Use:

[tex]\sin(90^o-\alpha)=\cos\alpha[/tex]

[tex]\sin31^o=\cos(90^o-31^o)=\cos59^o[/tex]

therefore we have answer:

r = 59
