Your job is to design a roller coaster. To complete this task, follow these steps:
The amusement park you are designing for gave you the following requirements:
Your roller coaster must have at least three relative maxima and/or minima.
The ride length must be at least four minutes.
The ride begins at 250 feet above the ground.
The ride dives into a tunnel at least once.
Label each point, clearly. Your work must be neat, organized, and professional.
Draw a sketch of your roller coaster on a coordinate plane (graph paper). Your x- and y-axis must be numbered evenly to identify the length and height of the ride (see #2).
List all zeros of your polynomial function; be sure to include at least one of each of the following on your design.
One double root (multiplicity of 2)
At least two real roots
Write the complete factored form of your roller coaster polynomial.
Write the equation in standard form that represents your roller coaster.
Describe the end behavior of your function and give a reason for this behavior.
Draw an accurate graph of your roller coaster polynomial on graph paper.
State the reasonable domain of your graph for the actual ride.
State the reasonable range of your graph for the actual ride.
