passively stretching the wrist (radiocarpal) joint into flexion and ulnar deviation for 10 seconds, then soliciting a 6-10 second isometric contraction into the direction of wrist extension and radial deviation, immediately following by a passive stretch into wrist flexion and ulnar deviation.
